CHICAGO BUSINESS BAROMETER™ Stalled
The Chicago Purchasing Managers reported the Chicago Business Barometer stalled at 48.3.
- Employment fell below 40 for the second time, while declining since December;
- Prices Paid index soared above 80 for the third time this year;
- Production advanced from neutral while New Orders grew at a slower rate and Order Backlogs contracted;
- Buying Policy lead-times shortened.
