The Chicago Purchasing Managers reported the Chicago Business Barometer signaled economic expansion for the third consecutive month:

BUSINESS ACTIVITY:

• PRODUCTION, NEW ORDERS, and ORDER
• BACKLOGS expanded;
• EMPLOYMENT improved;
• PRICES PAID strengthened;

BUYING POLICY:

• Lead-times increased.
